The position is open to excellent candidates in all areas of computer science. The successful candidate should be able to offer a range of courses in computing science. She or he will be required to work closely with other faculty to deliver courses and contribute to the interdisciplinary learning environment. We seek a candidate that will augment our teaching and research strengths, bringing innovative and diverse perspectives and experiences. The successful candidate will be committed to a faith-based approach to teaching and learning in the discipline and is expected to develop a program of scholarship

The King's University is a Christian liberal arts university offering three and four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, a Bachler of Commerce, a Bachelor of Music, and a two-year after-degree Bachelor of Education (Elementary and Secondary) accredited by the province of Alberta. The University is a member of Universities Canada and of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. Faculty members at The King's University are eligible for and are currently receiving Tri-Council funding. The faculty at The King's University are recognized for involving undergraduate students in their scholarship, with some faculty members having obtained external funding.

To be considered for appointment, the candidate must wholeheartedly endorse the Mission Statement and the Statement of Faith of the University (see https://www.kingsu.ca/about-us/about-kings/faith-commitment). The successful candidate must demonstrate graduate level course work in the Computing Science areas they will be teaching, or related experience. A Ph.D. in Computing Science or in related area is required.
