The Department of Computer and Software Engineering of Polytechnique Montréal is experiencing significant growth and is seeking exceptional applicants to fill this position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.The successful candidate will have demonstrated research activities mainly in Software Engineering. A focus on the Software Development Lifecycle and DevOps of intelligent systems, including, but not limited to, applications of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cyber-physical systems, will be considered favorably.

Applicants must hold a PhD in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a related field. They should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Industrial experience will be considered an asset.

Applicants must demonstrate excellent aptitudes for teaching, preferably attested by teaching evaluations. They will teach undergraduate courses and will be expected to contribute to the development of the Department’s selection of graduate courses.

Applicants are expected to contribute positively to the department’s collegial atmosphere and to adhere to Polytechnique’s values of excellence, creativity, integrity, collaboration, respect and openness.

Successful candidates will be expected to take necessary steps to register as Professional Engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) prior to applying for tenure. The teaching language in Polytechnique is French. Polytechnique Montréal will provide the necessary assistance to learn French.
